Dr. Camila Carvajal

Veterinarian

Dr. Carvajal was born in Chile and grew up in Mexico. She began her education at the University of Arizona, receiving a B.S. in Veterinary Science. Later, she completed her veterinary degree at the Autonomous University of Baja California in Mexico, where she served as president of the student body. She then received her ECFVG certification in 2024 and became a licensed veterinarian in the United States.

She recently completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital in Sandy Springs. During the one-year program, she managed emergency and critical care cases and rotated through multiple specialties, gaining hands-on experience with advanced diagnostics and treatment planning. She is also RECOVER certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support for veterinary CPR.

Dr. Carvajal loves general practice because she believes it is the foundation of a long, healthy life for pets. She is especially interested in preventive medicine, oncology, and ophthalmology, and as a native Spanish speaker, she is passionate about making sure language is never a barrier to veterinary care. She has been working in the veterinary field since high school, acquiring over a decade of hands-on experience. Inspired by the pets she grew up with, she now focuses her passion on giving her patients the best care possible. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, staying active, and cooking meals with her husband.
