Lisa has wanted to work with animals for as long as she can remember! There may be a picture of her when she was five, bandaging up a teddy bear, wearing scrubs and a surgical mask. She is originally from Locust Valley, New York and graduated with a bachelors of science from Emory University in May of 2016. Lisa has had the opportunity to work with other animals before coming to work at Peachtree Hills. She’s worked with rhesus macaques at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center as well as with seals, sea turtles, and cetaceans at marine mammal rehabilitation centers on Cape Cod and on Long Island. She has applied to veterinary school for next fall (fingers crossed!) but in the meantime enjoys her time exploring and running around Atlanta.
Lisa has a dog she recently adopted from Atlanta Lab Rescue, who’s is not quite a lab! Slim is a deaf, four-year-old, boxer bull dog mix, without a tail! Slim loves to cuddle and hike along Sweetwater Creek.
