A Georgia native, Leigh began working in the veterinary field in 2005 as a receptionist. With hard work and persistence, she was able to realize her dream of becoming a veterinary assistant in 2006 and fell in love with the work. Leigh has worked in day practice and research (where she worked with primates, pigs, sheep, rabbits, rats and mice). Before coming to PHAH in 2018 she worked as an oncology assistant administering chemotherapy and radiation treatment to dogs and cats with cancer. Leigh loves being able to make a positive difference in the lives of both animals and their owners. In her spare time, Leigh enjoys all things art. She paints, makes mosaics and jewelry and can knit and crochet!
Leigh has a purrrfect tortoiseshell kitty named Taco. When Taco is not napping, she is absolutely obsessed with playing fetch. She really is quite good at it!
