Melissa Lawrence, RVT
Melissa is a native of the metro Atlanta area and has worked in the veterinary field since 1999. She spent 12 years working in emergency and critical care. During that time, she studied Biology and Chemistry at Georgia State University. She received her RVT license in 2007. In her many years in the field, she has gained knowledge and experience with not just cats and dogs, but also with exotics, wildlife, and farm animals. She has since retired from wildlife rehabilitation after years of nursing many orphaned and injured wild creatures back to health. She worked at PHAH in the summer of 2011 and rejoined the hospital in 2016. In her limited spare time, she enjoys binging television shows and taking naps. The only way you will find her outdoors is if a pool is involved.
Melissa shares her home with her son, 3 dogs (Fletcher, Preston, and Edward), 4 cats (Chopper Ferguson, Jasper, Sebastian, and Ninja Jack) and Sebastian the African Grey.
