Dr. Jayme Douglas, DVM
Dr. Jayme earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from College of Charleston before heading to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine for her Veterinary Degree – Go Dawgs! During the summers of Veterinary School, she worked as a Veterinary Nurse and was involved as a volunteer with several rescue organizations, as well as spay and neuter clinics.
Dr. Douglas’s favorite summer was spent working with Elephants at the Southern Thailand animal hospital, combining her passion for animals and travel. She has spent the past three years working at an Emergency & Primary Care Veterinary Clinic in Atlanta. She is now thrilled to join the staff at Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital!
Dr. Douglas’s professional interests include emergency medicine, preventative care, surgery, dermatology, and behavioral therapy (especially ensuring the nervous babies enjoy coming to the vet).
Jayme spends her spare time traveling, exploring the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and spoiling her three rescue babies (Nahla & Nellie – pictured) and her three-legged, most perfect, cat (who thinks she’s a dog), Olive.
